Just like many other cancer diseases in the world melanoma is another ball in the court. However one aspect that can make melanoma different form other tumors is its threat to skin at higher lever. All types of external cancers have some effect on skin but since melanoma is directly related to skin so it has got more tendency to damage skin cells and tissues and finally penetrate into internal organs like liver, lungs and brain in human body.

In this article we are going to discuss the 3rd stage of melanoma cancer and its seriousness to the skin.
Melanoma is considered as the most dangerous type of skin cancer. Though there can be different reasons for this type of infection in skin but here in this article our purpose is not to go into detail of the reason. The purpose to write this article is to provide readers with a brief overview of melanoma and its different stages. Most importantly we will be discussing stage 2 of this skin cancer. A cancer is always a cancer and it has to be detected in curable stage because if not detected well in time, it can make your life miserable. Here we are going to discuss 2nd stage of Melanoma.
2nd Stage of Melanoma :
Though there are total 4 stages of Melanoma skin cancer but it is important to understand and learn about initial stages so that being an affected person you can have an idea about the seriousness of your disease. The initial stage is the 1st stage of this cancer and it takes a few weeks time for this tumor to turn into 2nd stage and penetrate deeper into your body. The 2nd stage of the melanoma is further divided into 2 sub categories to make it understandable and easy for the readers.
There are different types of diseases in this world and melanoma is just one of them. Though cancer is considered as one of the most dangerous diseases in the world but Melanoma i.e. Skin cancer is the most dangerous and harmful type of cancer. This cancer is directly related to skin and further it can start damaging internal parts and organs of the body. The passage way of melanoma starts from the superficial layer of the skin and slowly it penetrates towards lymph nodes from where it can reach to the internal organs like lungs, liver, heart and gastro intestinal tract. A great damage can be done by this cancer in a short period of time and if not detected in early stage, its treatment can become impossible. There are total 4 stages of Melanoma Skin Cancer but in this article we are going to discuss 1st stage in detail.
1st Stage Melanoma :
1st stage of melanoma is directly related to superficial layer of the skin that is also called epidermis. In this stage the cancer or tumor is limited to that superficial layer trying to make its way deep in the skin and become thicker. The more thick a tumor can get the more severe it can become. It is really important for the tumor to be detected in this first stage so that it can be cured. A doctor will examine the stage of cancer first to determine the treatment plan for a patient. There are two sub categories of this stage.
Melanoma Skin Cancer :
Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that is considered as the most dangerous and harmful skin cancer. There are total 4 stages of this skin cancer. These types of stages of this skin cancer are in accordance to the thickness and the spread area of the Melanoma. Treatment for this type of skin cancer can only be initiated after determining the stage of cancer. In initial stages there are more chances for a patient to get recovered or at least survive in a good way but if detected late then condition can become more severe. Below are the 4 stages of this skin cancer described.
1st Stage of Melanoma Skin Cancer :
In the first stage or this cancer only the superficial layer of the skin that is epidermis is damaged and it looks like scraped. There are two other categories of this stage as well. These categories can give information about tumor’s thickness. Stage 1a has 1.0 mm or less thickness and zero ulceration. Stage 1b is also 1.0 mm or less thick but it has ulceration. If thickness is 1.01 to 2.0 mm then it is still termed as stage 1b even in the absence of ulceration. In these stages lymph nodes are yet safe from Melanoma.
